I'm not dead. Just sleeping.

Just after photographing Anno and Katabasis in November, I was hit with the deadly blow that is retail work at Christmas time. This gave me about 1 spare minute to go to any gigs and when I was there, that 1 minute was devoted to drinking beer rather than taking pictures. After New Years, I fled Sydney and hung out in Queensland for 10 days, and then jetted off to Canada for 6 weeks to get some skiing in and aparently escape the heat that Australian's had to endure. This is why the blog seemingly died in the arse, but I can assure you, it is still alive, it's just now on hiatus.

Being stuck on a flight from LA to Sydney for 14 hours gave me some time to think, and for now, I have decided to put photography on hold, and only shoot occasionaly to keep in practice. This is mainly because I've decided to return to gigs to see live bands, and spend more time absorbing and enjoying the music rather than stressing over the next 100 pictures. Of course this means I'll have to start paying for shows again, sigh. So for anyone who may check the blog out from time to time, or may stumble across it in a dazed and confused state, do know that the blog is not dead, nor is it alive. I guess it's cryogenically frozen, like Walt Disney.

I may be shooting a gig in a couple of weeks, but at this stage, I'm not entirely sure. But as Andrew Pittman correctly pointed out, once you get into a field like this, it's almost impossible to get out of.

Cheers
